Tabadul Collective was founded in Durham, NC in the fall 0f 2021 by friends who wanted to explore creativity within their community. We are educators and designers with backgrounds spanning from Pakistan to Sudan. We seek to celebrate the rich art and creativity found across the Southeast Asian and MENA diasporas. Currently, Tabadul has chapters in Durham, Pittsburgh and DC.

Our values

  • Exploration - We believe in exploring creativity in all its forms. We strive to connect with a wide range of audiences through different mediums and learn something about ourselves and each other in the process.

  • Creating a third space - We want to create safe spaces for marginalized communities to come together and freely explore who they are.

  • Inclusivity - We strive to be inclusive in our event spaces and do not tolerate discrimination of any kind.
