Voices from Sudan: Conversations about Revolution, Resiliency and Mutual Aid

This event include an art fundraiser, film screening and discussion. We watched “Al-Sit,” a short film by Suzannah Mirghani, and “Sudan’s Conflict, Explained,” a short Vox documentary. Sudanese author Rania Mamoun, and a local Sudanese physician provided commentary and context on the current war in Sudan. 100% of sales from the fundraiser were donated to the Sudanese American Physicians Association. Hibiscus tea and chai were provided by Karavansarai Chai, Yori Tayo provided food, and Zammanik provided art for the fundraiser.
